Beginning 25
2025 started off with a spectacular fireworks display. The holiday season here in Sydney comes to an end with a stunning display of fireworks at the Harbour Bridge. I went around in the evening, got a good spot with harbour views. It was also fun experiencing Christmas in summer here in Australia.
‘Pyrotechnics’ - the science and art of creating visual and audible effects using chemical reactions

January 1st begins with a holiday, and there’s no rush to a 'perfect start of the year’. One thing I have observed here in Sydney is that there's not much rush to anything. People like to have a balance and lead a good memorable, and healthy lifestyle (more on that in a different essay). It was refreshing to start the new year with a run by the Backwattle Bay after a long, fun night.
As always, with the new year comes new goals, new milestones. This time, it is to focus even more on work and fitness. Over the last six months, I have been the most consistent in terms of fitness and habit management, but it wasn't 100%.

Got the WHOOP band and have been using it since the last week of December. It is pretty neat with the design and I have been tracking some of my body functions. I need to get used to it though.
A major setback is that by the end of second week I'm shifting houses. There's gonna be a whole new cycle of 'settling in' 😮💨 I really loved the space and surrounding I was in, the fact that living close to the city and the uni comes at a cost and with the lease coming to an end, I decided to move out.
I'm gonna miss this space. It's a lovely neighborhood, book stores, cafes that served amazing coffee, serene streets, parks, vintage cars, beautiful sunsets, close to the harbor and a lovely set of people. Every Saturday I used to go for an late evening run and wind up the day with the fireworks show at the Darling Harbour. I'll surely miss all of that.

Even more, I'm excited about the progress of some of my personal projects that I can't wait to share. Mindscapes is one of them. The thought of mindscapes came during the first week of January, and this was a quick weekend execution.
The last year has bought a lot of cycles of change to me. The practicality of staying outside the comfort zone really helped with gaining confidence and patience. Although I have moved cities before, moving to Sydney was a significant change. Perspectives on life, professional work, and career evolved, interacted with some of the many inspiring humans, a lot of learning happened through experience, priorities got set in place. All of it provided clarity. It was overwhelming at first, but eased with time.
